New Scrappin' style

I mentioned awhile back, that my scrapbook's for this year were going to have a different look to the pages from the previous ones done. Well, here are some new ones for ya!

I am making my collages on my computer and printing them at the store as 8x10's. Then I put them on a 12x12 sheet of cardstock and decorate a simple strip of paper along one side and add a little journaling. I am enjoying 1) the combination of the ease of putting them into collages on the computer and posting many pics on one page and 2) the creativity and enjoyment I get from doing a little by hand as well.
(The second, smaller pic I posted is to show how you can add more room for journaling. ANd BTW-I have not added the journaling to any of these yet.)

I would love to hear what you think about them and any constructive criticisms or suggestions you may have.

Hi Robyn. I saw your scrapbooking on Lindsey's blog. I LOVE the simplicity of your scrapbooking technique! I have the hardest time with the photos. What software do you use to create your collages? Thanks so much! Jen U

You're so sweet! They really are so simple. This seems the only way to me where I feel it is actually attainable to get them done. I use Photomix software. It is at and is $29. They have a trial version you can download for free to try it out too. It is much more limited than the expensive programs, but super duper easy and user friendly and soooo fast too-which are all things that I need, not to mention inexpensive. I wish I could do them like Lindsey, but it doesn't happen. I also like getting a tone of pics onto one page or just making the collages and putting them onto my family's blog that way for others to see our daily happenings. Anyway-hope this helps! Thanks!!!

That helped a ton! Thank you so much! I do have access to Photoshop, but don't really know how to use it. I'll try out that Photomix software. Thanks again, and I love your blog! Jen U

What a great idea! I haven't done computer based scrapbooking because I still wanted the personal touch, but these solves it! And, it goes faster... which is a plus. Where do you get them printed?

You can print them almost anywhere-I just go for wherever is cheapest...Walmart, Walgreens, Sam's...just call and or go online and check any or all of their prices.
